Welcome to Acazen — your Personal AI Academy. Acazen is an AI-powered education platform headquartered in Jammu, Jammu & Kashmir, India.

This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, how we protect it, and your rights as a user. By using Acazen you agree to the practices described in this Policy.

We collect only what is necessary to provide you with a personalised AI learning experience.

• Full name
• Age
• Grade / class level
• Mobile number — collected at sign-up for identity verification and to prevent duplicate accounts only
• Email address — via Google Sign-In / Gmail as a secondary authentication method

• Chat messages and conversation history with the Acazen AI
• Subjects studied, topics covered, exam boards selected
• Keystroke dynamics and scroll behaviour — processed live by the TWI biometric engine to detect cognitive state. This data is processed in-session only and is not stored as raw biometric data.
• AcazBrain profile — learning history, forgetting curves, error patterns and study preferences built up over your sessions
• Flashcards created, exam results, spaced repetition schedules

• Acazen may request access to your device camera solely to enable real-time emotion detection — detecting focus, confusion or fatigue to further personalise your learning experience
• Camera data is processed entirely on-device and in real time. It is never recorded, stored, transmitted to Acazen servers, or shared with any third party under any circumstances
• Emotion signals are used only within your active session to adjust how the AI teaches you at that moment — they are discarded the instant the session ends
• Camera access is entirely optional. You may deny or revoke it at any time in your device settings without affecting any other Acazen feature

• Device type and browser type
• Session timestamps and login history
• Language preference

• We do not use cookies or third-party tracking pixels
• We do not collect payment card details — all payments are processed securely by Razorpay
• We do not collect precise location data beyond what you voluntarily provide

We use the information we collect for the following purposes:

• To create and manage your Acazen account
• To verify your identity and prevent duplicate accounts using your mobile number
• To deliver personalised AI tutoring powered by AcazBrain and TWI
• To remember your learning history and improve every session based on what you have studied before
• To improve the Acazen platform — your chat data and learning interactions may be used to train and improve Acazen' own AI models and teaching systems
• To show contextual advertisements through Acazen Ad Studio — ads are matched to your current study session context only, not to your personal identity
• To send important account-related communications
• To comply with legal obligations under Indian law

Acazen uses chat conversations and learning interaction data to train and improve its own AI models, teaching algorithms, and the AcazBrain system. This helps Acazen become a better, smarter tutor for all students over time.

• Training data is anonymised and de-identified before any use in model training
• No personally identifiable information (name, phone number, email) is ever used in training data
• Raw biometric data (keystroke / scroll signals) is never stored — only processed live in-session

Acazen does not sell, rent or trade your personal data. We share data only in these limited circumstances:

• Google Firebase — database, authentication and file storage
• Google Gemini API — AI response generation (anonymised conversation context only)
• Razorpay — payment processing for subscriptions (Acazen never sees your card details)
• Vercel — platform hosting and deployment

Advertisers on Acazen Ad Studio receive only aggregated, anonymous campaign statistics — impression counts, click counts, subject/grade targeting parameters. No personal data of any student is ever shared with advertisers.

We may disclose information if required to do so by law or in response to valid legal process from Indian authorities.

Acazen is designed for students including those under the age of 18. We take the protection of minors very seriously and comply fully with India's DPDP Act 2023.

• Users under 18 must obtain parental or guardian consent before using Acazen
• We do not knowingly collect sensitive personal data from users under 13 without verified parental consent
• Personal data of minors is never sold, shared or used for advertising profiling
• Biometric session data of minors is processed live in-session only — it is never stored as identifiable biometric data

• Account data is retained for as long as your account is active
• Chat history and AcazBrain profile data is retained to provide continuity across your sessions
• If you delete your account, all your personal data is permanently deleted within 30 days
• Anonymised, aggregated data used for platform improvement may be retained indefinitely as it cannot be linked back to you

We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data:

• All data is stored on Firebase with granular security rules — each student's data is fully sandboxed and inaccessible to other users
• All data transmission is encrypted via HTTPS / TLS
• Firebase Authentication handles all login credentials — Acazen never stores passwords
• Mobile number verification is used at signup to prevent duplicate accounts and fraudulent access

While we take every reasonable precaution, no system is 100% secure. Contact us immediately at acazenai@gmail.com if you suspect any unauthorised access to your account.

As a data principal under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023, you have the following rights:

• Right to Access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
• Right to Correction — request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data
• Right to Erasure — request deletion of your personal data (right to be forgotten)
• Right to Grievance Redressal — raise a complaint about how your data is handled
• Right to Nominate — nominate another person to exercise your rights in the event of death or incapacity

Acazen does not use cookies, tracking pixels, or any third-party analytics trackers. We do not use Google Analytics or any advertising trackers.

Session state is managed entirely through Firebase Authentication and browser session storage. No persistent tracking identifiers are placed on your device.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make significant changes, we will notify you via an in-app notice or email.

The updated policy will always be available at acazen.com/privacy. Continued use of Acazen after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
